Abstract

Right now, wireless technologies is very popular. Because of using wireless technologies, many industries become more expandable like vehicle and transportation industry. PAPAGO or Garmin are the examples. Vehicles can get any kinds of information which they need from other vehicles or communication infrastructures, so governments can use this property to improve road safety, traffic management, driver convenience and related applications with services. In this article, we propose a secure anonymous identity generation mechanism and a secure anonymity trace mechanism. The anonymous identities combine with identity-based cryptosystem can realize basic security requirement and privacy protection in VANETs. The anonymous property is attached to the proposed mechanism to protect personal privacy and the anonymity's real identity can be traced by police or law enforcement authority when necessary. The authors want to revise Wang's et al. work.
