Abstract

A high capacity star-bus-ring architecture (SBRA) for DWDM/SCM networks was proposed. Self healing function was designed to overcome fiber cuts in the star and ring subnets to ensure good survivability. The results show that the proposed SBRA is a promising architecture for high capacity broadband subscriber networks.
