Abstract

In this paper, the low-density parity-check (LDPC) code decoder with aided channel state information (CSI) for an OFDM based system is presented. The CSI on different subcarriers are obtained from the one-tap frequency domain equalizer based on the modified RLS algorithm. Compare to channel estimation only by training symbols with the conventional decoding method of min-sum algorithm, the proposed method with the same decoding algorithm has better performance because it adopt the adaptive equalizer and decode with CSI which represent different reliabilities on subcarriers.
