Abstract

A novel circular polarized optical heterodyne interferometer using a Zeeman laser is proposed. Two orthogonal circular polarized light waves of different temporal frequencies from Zeeman laser propagate with different speeds in the optical active medium. Then, a phase difference between these two waves provides the optical rotation angle of the optical active medium.
