Abstract

Treatment of bromo alkylidenemalonates (1)-(4) with ammonia or amines afforded 3,4-condensed heteroaromatic pyrroles (5)-(8) in excellent yields; benzotripyrroles (19)-(21) were synthesized by the same method.
