Abstract

The overall aim of this project focused on the suitable prescriptive exercise equipment for aged person of the future. With the changing of the trends, it stems from the fact that with the changing of the trends, the development or suitable prescriptive exercise equipment design for aged person should also strive to accommodate to such a change. The assertion in this project has been concentrated mostly on the likely increase of the aged person in the future. In relation to that, the suitable prescriptive exercise equipment, serving as a facility and a social tool used for common purpose, is the consideration for the establishment of a design model to suit factors in cultural phenomena, social trends and ergonomic issues. In consideration of ergonomic issues, first, to define "what is prescriptive exercise equipment" for aged person. Second, to identify the needs for aged person using the prescriptive exercise equipment is not only in physical abilities but also the consideration of internal psychological demands. Influences by the use of lifestyle tools were also considered, and therefore in the structure of this document, the issues within the whole structure will be dealt with by turns. After the structure has established, a design approach and study will be apply in this project.
