Abstract

Eitensihle Mar/cup Language (XML) as the standard representation languageis widely used for information eichange. Up to now, how to protect the integrityof XML documents becomes an important issue. XML signature is one of themethods for integrity protection. Howeuer it needs significantly extra spacesfor recording the protection information. In this paper, we propose a novelwatermarking scheme which uses synonym substitution for embedding thewatermar/cs. Without needing large eitra spaces, the XML document can verify theintegrity by itself. ICIC International
