Abstract

This paper presents an adaptive inverse control scheme in which adaptive signal processing techniques are used for system identification, dynamic compensation, and disturbance canceling. Unlike an approach proposed by Plett, no constraints are applied on the magnitude and distribution of the output signal of the disturbance canceller. Rather, the scheme allows feed-forward control to compensate for known or measured disturbances. Experimental results of a temperature control system demonstrate effectiveness of the propose scheme.
