An Automated Pricing System for a Buffet Restaurant with Daily Menu Updates in Health Village using Incremental Learning and Cloud Service

Abstract

This study solves the problem of food assessment for the elder in a health village, via Nvidia Jetson devices and increasingly comprehensive transfer learning techniques. For the increasing of dish dataset, incremental learning is used. The main contributions include: first, building a food recognition system through transfer learning, incremental learning and edge computing; second, the ResNet-18 based model in the system has mAP 100% accuracy.
