Abstract

Culturing biological cells in three-dimensional (3D) environment has been suggested to obtain a better in vitro biologically relevant microenvironment. However, the conventional 3D cell culture involve tedious processing. In this work, a folding paper culture system has been developed to provide a simple and convenient 3D cell culture protocol. By folding the paper substrates, cellular response in different layers could be analyzed. Analyses of cell proliferation and protein expression were conducted.
