abstract = "In this paper, we theoretically analyze the asymptotic coded bit error rate (BER) for multiple-input multiple-output bit-interleaved coded modulation (MIMO-BICM) with linear minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) detection and estimation for a flat Rayleigh fading channel. The numerical simulations validate the accuracy of our theoretical analysis. With such study, we can model the BER improvement of MMSE detection compared with zero-forcing detection as a signal-to-noise (SNR) gain.",
