Abstract

In this paper, a capacitive measurement circuit is proposed. This interface circuit is characterized by its low cost, compact to simplify the circuit complexity. Besides it could be easily implemented by the discrete integrated circuits in the readymade market for capacitance measuring. Capacitive variations in fF range of diversified capacitive sensors can be detected and converted into voltage changes by the interface circuit. All the functions of the interface circuit are proved successfully through SPICE simulation. Simulation results and an implemented PCB have successfully confirmed the correct functions and performance of the capacitive measuring circuits.
