Abstract
Totally implantable venous devices are widely used for chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition. There have been many device-associated complications reported in the literature. Herein, we report a case of chyle withdrawal from an implanted port that occurred secondary to occult innominate vein stenosis in a patient receiving chemotherapy for rectal cancer with lung metastasis. The port remained patent and functioning well after balloon angioplasty. J. Surg. Oncol. 2001.
