Abstract
This work presents the design of balun bandpass filter using doubly loaded output and direct coupled structures. A symmetrical doubly loaded output structure was constructed to obtain balanced outputs and create transmission zeros. The direct coupled structure was applied for obtaining high order and achieve high selectivity. A fourth-order balun filter was fabricated. Measured results demonstrate an excellent phase difference of 180°±0.25°, an amplitude imbalance of ±0.09 dB, and a low insertion loss of (3.0+1.2) dB at 2.41 GHz. High-selectivity responses with a pair of transmission zeros was observed.
