Abstract

This study presents an artery ultrasonic transceiver, a non-invasive sensor designed for evaluating carotid stenosis, aiming to address healthcare challenges related to aging populations and the increasing demand for telemedicine. The transceiver operating at a single 20V generates a significant 38Vpp high-voltage excitation. Even at common carotid artery flow velocities as low as 0.5 m/s, the proposed sensor's measurement error is within 13.5%. Combined with a frequency dependent model, the sensor offers a reliable home monitoring solution for estimating carotid stenosis risks, thereby enhancing human healthcare.
