Abstract

Stepped-impedance resonators (SIRs) are configured to design compact bandpass filters with a dual-passband response. Emphasis is placed on realization of sixth- and eighth-order circuits having prescribed passband functions at two designated frequencies. Bandwidth design graphs derived from the coupling characteristics of adjacent SIRs for the dual-passband purpose are presented. Measured results of fabricated circuits show good agreement with simulation.
