Abstract

In this paper, a delta-connected DSTATCOM with cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter is proposed for real-time load power factor correction in power distribution systems. First, a feed forward compensation scheme is developed for the DSTATCOM for fast response requirement. Then, the DSTATCOM is built and simulated with Matlab/Simulink program. Accordingly, a hardware prototype is constructed by using DSP-based control system. Finally, experimental results verify the function of the DSTATCOM.
