Abstract

This paper proposes a novel power frequency and voltage detection method using an iteration method with high accuracy and quick response time. First, the iteration method for the fundamental frequency and the peak voltage detection is derived. Then, the simulation is made with the Matlab/Simulink program to evaluate the effectiveness of detection. Accordingly, A novel floating-point DSP TMS320C6711-based system is employed to implement the detector. The experimental results show that the response time of detection is within 3ms. The actual detection error is less than 0.1 %. The experimental results fully confirm the proposed detection method.
