Abstract
This study investigated whether animated guided mindfulness meditation can increase Flow Ergonomics in flight attendants. Due to the relationship between the working environment and the nature of work, the psychological state of flight attendants has always been negative. Mindfulness practices are often used to reduce anxiety levels and stress. Therefore, this research team used grounded theory method to collect data from qualitative re-search interviews, and obtained seven dimensional models of individual Flow Ergonomics. Theoretical framework regard Flow Ergonomics as the core category, containing oneness beyond, flow concentration, positive emotions and meaning, negative emotions, happiness life, environment connection and accept, and design a set of mindfulness meditation animation based on Flow Ergonomics, and use the Flow Ergonomics scale to assess whether mindfulness meditation animation can increase the Flow Ergonomics of the flight attendants. In this study, 60 flight attendants were recruited, 30 in each group, and divided into two groups, one was the experimental group and the other was the control group. Before and two weeks after the intervention, the experimental group and the control group were pre-tested and post-tested with the Flow Ergonomics scale, respectively, to understand the impact of the intervention of mindful animation on flight attendants before and after the intervention. This study expected that the 8-week interventional training could: (1) improve the level of mindfulness and Flow Ergonomics of flight attendants in the experimental group; (2) It can partially promote the positive change of cognitive emotion regulation strategies of the experimental group. The animation of mindfulness meditation can provide new ideas and methods for self-health education and clinical treatment.
