abstract = "In this paper, we present a quality assurance (QA) programming for the Helical TomoTherapy and share the QA practical experiences with this state-of-the-art machine in radiation therapy. According to the Ionizing Radiation Protection Act (Article. 17, item 3), the regulations of medical exposure quality assurance in Taiwan, has to include the items of daily, monthly, and annual schedule for every treatment machine in a department of radiation oncology. We presented the QA programming that is performed in our department, which follows the principle of AAPM TG-40 but contains some novel components, reflecting the differences between the Hi-Art devices and conventional linear accelerators.",
