Extremely high resolution fiber temperature sensor

Abstract

A novel medical temperature sensor using two fiber Bragg gratings is presented. The experimental results demonstrate this sensor can employ as high as 0.01 °C resolution. It is expected that with interpolation, this sensor can achieve the resolution as high as 0.001 °C.
