Abstract
This paper describes the general trends affecting industry-university R&D collaboration in many countries in the world. It explains some potential areas where differences between expectations of industry and university from such collaboration could arise. Then it reports on a study conducted in Singapore where the expectations and experience of industry-collaborators are measured. The results and their implications are discussed.
