Abstract

Symptomatic intrahepatic portohepatic venous shunts are rare. We report a case with shunting isolated in the right lobe. The lesion was clearly depicted with sonography and was successfully resected using echoguidance. Using this case and a review of the literature, we propose a management approach for this rare lesion. (Arch Surg. 1993;128:349-352).
