Abstract

Appendiceal mucocele with intussusception is a rare disease. A 69-year- old male presented with occasional dull pain in the right lower quadrant of abdomen. The colonoscopy revealed a reddish polyp-like mass at the cecal region, and the barium enema showed a filling defect at the ileocecal area. Appendiceal intussusception was found at operation. Appendectomy and wedge resection of cecal stump were performed on this patient. The pathology report was an appendiceal mucocele with intussusception.
