Abstract

In recent years, Internet of things (IoT) has gained popularity due to its application in diversified fields such as smart home monitoring, health monitoring etc. In the field of cardiac health monitoring, IoT enables the hassle free collection of cardiac health data in continuous manner. However, processing and analysis of continuous cardiac health data is a challenging task. In this paper, IoT based ECG/SCG cardiac health data collection framework followed by Apache Hadoop-MapReduce based distributed data processing and analysis model is designed for continuous cardiac health monitoring. The evaluation of proposed framework in matlab reveals that the proposed framework has low processing and analysis time.
