Abstract

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was preformed without complications on a pregnant woman with biliary colic due to the gallbladder polypoid lesion at 14 weeks of gestation. The successful outcome of this case suggests that whenever cholecystectomy is necessary in pregnancy, the laparoscopic approach is a safe procedure and the second trimester is supposed to be the preferable time.
