Abstract

Two-dimensional (2D) Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) multilayered Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Perovskites (OIHPs) in the structural form of (PA)2MAn-1PbnBr3n+1 (n = 1, 2, 3, and 4) were synthesized by temperature cooling crystallization method. Subsequently, the synthesized 2D RP OIHPs were mechanically exfoliated to obtain in single-phase. Their crystallinity and thickness were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Interestingly, the thickness determined from XRD matches with atomic force microscopy(AFM) results. Further, the optical properties of 2D RP OIHPs were tuned with its layer thickness. Our results provide a foundation for future research into the synthesis of single-phase 2D RP multilayered OIHPs with different bulky organic cations as spacers.
