Abstract
This paper provides a microcomputer-based control experience for a transverse flux linear switched reluctance machine (TFLSRM) with rule-based compensation techniques. By using the state-space modeling and the developed system parameters, various control strategies will be developed to improve the dynamic characteristics of the TFLSRM under different operating conditions. By appropriate microcomputer hardware and software design and experimental verifications, the adequacies of the overall control schemes can be confirmed. It is thus believed that the proposed microcomputer-based TFLSRM control system can provide satisfactory characteristics suitable for dynamic linear motion operations.
