Abstract

In this paper, a conjugate gradient (CG) detector with a weighted Neumann series approximation (WNSA) in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems is presented to minimize the computational complexity of the entire CG detector. In contrast with MMSE detector, the SNR deviation of the proposed CG-WNSA is within 0.5 dB for BER of 10-6. The CG-WNSA algorithm can reach lower computational complexity and better performance compared with the joint conjugate gradient and Jacobi (CG-JC) detector.
