Abstract

Nasal septal abscess is an uncommon infection and therefore there are limited reports in the medical literature. Early diagnosis and immediately therapy is mandatory to avoid cosmetic deformity and potentially dangerous spread of infection. We present herein three cases of nasal septal abscesses with different causes and managements. One patient received incision and drainage immediately at outpatient department; one patient underwent submucosal resection (SMR) of nasal septum under general anesthesia and another one received SMR followed by multiple through and through sutures. Postoperative follow-up showed no complication and cosmetic sequelae.
