Abstract

This paper presents a new on-line uninterruptible power supply (UPS) structure in which a dual-functional PFC substitutes for an inevitable battery-voltage booster thereby simplifying the complexity of power stage. Via the proof of experimental results, the proposed UPS structure consequently shows its feasibility, low cost and high power density.
