Abstract

This paper presents a new algorithm for the optimal power flow (OPF) in the presence of uncertainties cause by renewable energy source. The proposed algorithm consists two parts. One part is the off-line analysis to identify the probability distribution model of the concerned security terms. The other part is the on-line application algorithm to determine the restricted upper and lower bounds of the security terms. We test the proposed algorithm on the OPF problem in the presence of uncertainties of a 26-bus system. The test results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is efficient and effective.
