Abstract

A preparation of DEAE-dextran was described, which can form an aqueous two-phase system with hydroxypropyldextran. Acid proteases showed strong partition in this system due to its large interfacial electrical potential. Partition coefficients of the enzymes changed rapidly when salts were added.
