Abstract

Fibrosis of skeletal muscles following intra-muscular injections is an iatrogenic condition. The post-injection fibrosis area may be in the deltoid, quadriceps, glutei or triceps brachia. Six cases of post-injection rectus femoris contracture were described. All had positive Ely signs and abnormal gaits which were significantly improved after proximal release of the rectus femoris.
