Abstract

Rupture of the posterior tibial tendon can cause a progressive, painful flatfoot deformity, a condition often overlooked in daily practice. A case of posterior tibial tendon rupture with flat foot deformity is reported, with discussion of the principles for diagnosis and management of such patients.
