Abstract
A novel primary-side dimming control driver for cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) is investigated theoretically and experimentally. This new topology successfully solves the uneven sensitivity of dimming control, and the problem of uneven illumination in a two-lamp system. In particular, the circuit is simple, has a low component count and is highly efficient.
