Abstract
In this chapter, a direct carbon dioxide (CO2) conversion process to diethyl carbonate is demonstrated as a case study for overall process simulation. Critical considerations, e.g., the thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, rigorous reactor and distillation designs, are demonstrated. Besides, guidance on converging the simulation is also provided.
