Abstract

The radiation from electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) microstrip structures is studied. The results show that the radiation from an EBG microstrip structure at most of the frequencies in the stopband and the passband is larger than that of the corresponding conventional microstrip line. Therefore, EBG microstrip circuit s should be shielded and new EBG microstrip structures whose radiation is little should be developed.
