The incidence of pediatric burn (<18 years old) in Taiwan according to data from Childhood Burn Foundation Taiwan ROC was about 33.4%. The incidence of reconstruction needed for this age group was also about the same. Among these, one-third of the patients needed reconstruction. This is a large reconstruction group and is of concern.
