Abstract
The effects of recycle at the ends of a turbulent duct flow on the heat and mass transfer have been studied by a finite difference method. Theoretical investigation shows that the heat transfer efficiency can be augmented compared with that in an open duct without recycle. The compensation among the premixing, eddy and residence-time effects may be used to describe the fluid behaviors.
