Abstract

This study constructs the Chinese version of Flow Ergonomics scale based on Flow Ergonomics theory, and conducts reliability and validity analysis. This study proposes a more generalized theory of Flow Ergonomics based on the integration of mindfulness and flow theory with human factors. In order to evaluate a specific psychological trait and mental state, a Flow Ergonomics scale was developed to test the structural model and serve as the basis for subsequent research. The researchers translated and tested the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Flow Ergonomics for 100 faculty members. The questionnaire was translated from English to Chinese and then back to English to confirm the consistency of the Chinese and English questionnaires. Flow factor scale consists of seven dimensions with a total of 80 items. In order to ensure its effectiveness, the Chinese version of Flow Ergonomics was used to understand the degree of flow ergonomics of staff. Internal consistency and retest reliability were used to confirm whether the questionnaire could be used effectively in future experiments. The Flow Ergonomics scale was composed of seven dimensions with a total of 80 items, all of which had good reliability and validity. These seven factors are significantly different, and the alpha coefficient shows a high degree of internal consistency for all seven factors. The results of this study confirmed the reliability and validity of Flow Ergonomics scale as an evaluation tool for specific psychological traits and mental states.
