Abstract
“Made in Taiwan” is the proud code for many Taiwanese. It means the guarantee of the products quality. Now Taiwan is entering the period of the esthetic economy obeying the fashion design after the promotion of government and enterprises. Many products are made from OEM to self-creative brand. While in illuminate industry, the expression of the creative illuminators is weaker than other fields. In the end of 2011, “2011 IDA congress Taipei” was held. In this design show, it brought us the world wild consciousness of the design industry. Make us understand that design needs both to be progressed by challenging ourselves and the interaction of cross-fields. In this research, we searched as many as the creative lighting products at 2011 IDA Congress Taipei and tested the degree of users’ satisfication for these products. By questionnaire, interview and analysis, we had some conclusions. 1. Multi-functional products are not the prior expect point. 2. Special materials make the extremely feelings, much favorite and hate. 3. Large volume products don’t fit most consumers. 4. The products with the lighting source which could not be switched might be the skippable producs. 5. Interactive function products would not be the ones for home setting. Interactive function products would not be the ones for home setting. After analyzing the data, we understood how the users accept the requirement and cultural value from them. At last, we transfer the user experience to design concepts for illuminative designers. This could combine both the user’s requests and the cultural esthetic to make progress of Taiwan illuminate industry.
