Abstract

The location of the scalp renders it susceptible to solar radiation and neoplasia, as well as making it a common target for assault and mechanical trauma, including scalp avulsion. Presented herein are the workhorse techniques that can address most scalp defects, including hair restoration as a means to improve final cosmesis for non-hair-bearing reconstructions.
