Abstract

In this study, particle swarm optimization method is adopted to search the optimal charging pattern of the multi-stage constant current charging method. The proposed uses only the equivalent model of the lithium-ion battery; hence, time-consuming experiments can be avoided. The presented study takes both the charging time and temperature rise into account. Comparing with CC-CV method, the average temperature rise can be improved by 42.1 % and the charging time can be shortened by 18.4 %.
