Abstract

Secret sharing technique has been extensively applied to the field of information security. However, some published methods cannot reconstruct the image without loss. In this paper, a (n, n) gray-level image sharing method is proposed to solve the problem. Furthermore, the proposed method utilizes the base conversion operation and a codebook to construct n shared images. Even though the enemy obtains n-1 or fewer shared images, the secret image still cannot be revealed. Only when the n shared images are all gathered, the secret image can be reconstructed without loss.
