Abstract

Two new tetranortriterpenoids, severinolide and cycloseverinolide, together with four known compounds, were isolated and characterized from the root bark of Severinia buxifolia. Severinolide, atalantin and cycloepiatalantin showed significant antifeeding effects against Plutella xylostalla.
