Abstract
The first two examples of halogen bonding in the Csp3-F⋯Osp3 interaction have been both experimentally and theoretically proved for trans-[PdX2(3-HCF2CF2CH2OCH2py)2] complexes where X = Cl and Br. Both metal complexes with a Csp3-F⋯Osp3 halogen bond have a σ hole donating fluorine.
