Abstract

This study intended to use case studies to report the immediate and maintenance effect of Chinese text entry training. Three 4-graded students with learning disabilities who received special education services at school participated in this study. A selfdeveloped software "Mandarin Chinese Character Entry system (MCChEN system)" was used to collect the data. The results illustrated that the accuracy of Chinese input increased after each practice session. In addition, the training effect lasted for 6 months. The results of this study can provide a foundation for developing further computer instruction programs for students with learning disabilities.
