Abstract
Practices for the diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes (DEs) differ all around the world despite regional and global attempts of workshops and related societies to achieve a global consensus. While most Asian countries participated for a consensus gathering for the diagnostic and management guidelines of DE disease led by the Asia Dry Eye Society, availability of different medications as well as cultural and social differences still translate to the presence of varying guidelines and approaches to treatment in Asia. This chapter provides detailed and up-to-date information on the preferred practice patterns related to DE epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment in different parts of Asia.
