Abstract

The sonographic findings of eosinophilic gastroenteritis have rarely been reported. We describe the sonographic findings from a patient with eosinophilic enteritis restricted to the ileum. A long segmental involvement and a smooth, homogenous thickening of the intestinal wall as shown by ultrasound are helpful in the diagnosis of eosinophilic enteritis, especially if the patient has concurrent peripheral eosinophilia.
